The Times
reports on new legislation that would go a long way to improving the situation here in NYC. The bills before the city council are "
Introduction 871", which would "mandate access to bike parking in most office and retail buildings" and "
Introduction 780" which would "require garages and parking lots to provide at least one bicycle parking space for every 10 car-parking spaces."
What do our favorite developers think? Sylvester Giustino, representing the
Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater New York wondered about "How to screen bicycles and bicyclists for terrorist activity".
Really? You're kidding, right? He's still living in
that USA?

Where would you hide the AK47 and the bomb on a bike? How many guns and bombs can you hide in a car? I thought the terrorist on every corner ploy was losing it's effectiveness. Diminishing returns, I hope.
